In wide shots where giant brachiosaurs are seen walking around the grounds of Jurassic Park, ground-breaking computer animation were used.
But for close-up shots when the film’s human characters interacted with the brachiosaurs (i.e. in the trees), that’s where the crew at Stan Winston studios took over and created a puppet. Yes, they created a 7-foot puppet that took six people to control.
