Watch The Incredible Behind-The-Scenes 7-foot Brachiosaurus puppet used in ‘Jurassic Park’


In wide shots where giant brachiosaurs are seen walking around the grounds of Jurassic Park, ground-breaking computer animation were used.

But for close-up shots when the film’s human characters interacted with the brachiosaurs (i.e. in the trees), that’s where the crew at Stan Winston studios took over and created a puppet.  Yes, they created a 7-foot puppet that took six people to control.

The latest behind-the-scenes video from the Stan Winston School showcases how they controlled this amazing puppet brachiosaurus.
