Vintage: Lucas, Spielberg and Scorsese Talk About The Future of The Movies After 1990

Hindsight is 20/20, as they say.  In today’s look into the past, we’ve got a video from an old segment produced in 1990, in which the late Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel interview Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Martin Scorsese about the future of film.

Ebert opens by explaining they wanted to know how these three masterful directors (who were already well into their prime in 1990), saw the evolution of cinema & filmmaking moving forward.  It’s a fun watch, yet it’s also a little eerie.  Unfortunately, there are no mind-blowing Nostradamus moments, but it’s interesting to hear these men discuss their career so candidly.  Plus, I think we can all chuckle at Lucas announcing that he was developing three prequels to Star Wars.  Like I say, hindsight is 20/20.
