Two new featurettes titled ‘A Giant Adventure’ and A Modern Fairytale’ have surfaced online for director Bryan Singer’s upcoming fantasy adventure film Jack the Giant Slayer. The film centers around a young farmhand named Jack (Nicholas Hoult), who accidentally opens a gateway to the world of giants and rekindles an ancient war, thought only to be a legend.
These are great featurettes that give awesome insight to how the film was made. I had little interest in the film when I saw the first trailer, but the more footage I see the more interested I find myself becoming. Bryan Singer has mixed great visual effects and story before and he’s never really done a bad film. This could end up being the first good film of 2013.
The supporting cast for the film includes Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Eleanor Tomlinson, Ian McShane, and Bill Nighy.
A Giant Adventure
A Modern Fairytale
“Jack the Giant Slayer” tells the story of an ancient war that is reignited when a young farmhand unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants. Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack (Nicholas Hoult) into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom, its people, and the love of a brave princess, he comes face to face with the unstoppable warriors he thought only existed in legend–and gets the chance to become a legend himself.
