“Generation Um…” follows a day in the life of John and his two beautiful cohorts as they live life on the fringe, immersed in sex, drugs and indecision. As they navigate their daily routine of bars, crowds and New York City living, they embark on a path of self-discovery.
Yeah. I’m not sure about this. I like Keanu and all, I really do, but this looks like a movie he thought up while sitting on that park bench looking sad and lonely. But Reeves only stars in this film with Bojana Novakovic and Adelaide Clemens, it is writer/director Mark Mann who seems to have reached the epitome of clichéd somber tones of a quirky story that people liken to (and are tired of ) independent film. Unless this is done really well, all I’ll appreciate here is Keanu’s willingness to try something different.
Okay, I’ll say it. Maybe this should be called, Generation Whoa…
Generation Um… gets a limited release on May 28, 2013.
