The World’s End: Get A Tour of Newton Haven

If you’re like us and you’re chomping at the bit for  anything you can get your hands on about The World’s End, you’ll be happy to know you won’t have to wait much longer.  Not only do we have a a video for you this morning, but this clip also marks the beginning of some fun viral material to follow.

The film’s director Edgar Wright and his stars Simon Pegg & Nick Frost have confirmed they will be attending the 2013 Comic-Con in San Diego.  To make things more interesting, they’ve put together an online scavenger hunt, the first fifty winners of which will be guaranteed a seat at the film’s debut screening.  If you’re not planning on attending Comic-Con however, you won’t be eligible for the contest.  To find out more, click here.

As for the rest of us, enjoy this “Tourism” video created to sell you on the town of Newton Haven, in which the film is set.  Like the other films in the Cornetto Trilogy, writers Pegg & Wright poke fun at English stereotypes by always setting up big, Hollywood action in quaint & quiet locations.  Newton Have isn’t any different.

Also, am I crazy for thinking that the King seen on the sign for The King’s Head Pub  (0:35 seconds) has a striking resemblance to Michael Sheen? Hm.

The World’s End opens August 23rd.
