The Official Trailer for Showtime’s New Series Masters Of Sex Starring Michael Sheen And Lizzy Caplan

Showtime has released a new full trailer for its new series Masters of Sex.  The show is based on Thomas Maier’s biography Masters of Sex: The Life and Times of William Masters and Virginia Johnson and tells the story of William Masters (Michael Sheen) and Virginia Johnson (Lizzy Caplan).  The pair were pioneers in the study of human sexuality whose controversial research touched off a sexual revolution.

The series chronicles the duo’s unconventional lives as outcast researchers to the cover of Time Magazine and appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson.  Showtime must have high hopes for the show pairing it on Sunday nights with their Emmy and Golden Globe winning Homeland.  I’m going to give anything Showtime puts on the air a chance, their track record in recent years is phenomenal.

The series supporting cast includes Golden Globe and Emmy Winner Beau Bridges, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Allison Janney, Nicholas D’Agosto and Emmy-Winner Margo Martindale.
