The suggestion, “Let’s go shopping” meant something entirely different to these kids. In Sofia Coppola’s new film, The Bling Ring, she tells true story about a bunch of LA kids who wanted to so badly be a part of the high life – the celebrity lifestyle of fashion, riches and parties.
The movie is based on the Vanity Fair article The Suspects Wore Louboutins, which delved into the indiscretions of these youngsters who had the gall to steal millions of dollars worth of property from the likes of Paris Hilton, Orlando Bloom, Rachel Bilson and Lindsay Lohan. In Coppola’s movie, she shows us just how easy it was for these kids to carry out these crimes in the name of fun.
So far, the film has received generally positive reviews. Click here to watch The Schmoes’ review the film.
