Sherlock returns – but will things ever be the same again?
- BBC One
For those of you who watched and enjoyed the BBC’s incredible modern adaptation of Sherlock Holmes – helmed by the brilliant Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss – I think we can all agree the second season left us begging for more. The story ended on an unexpected [but pleasing]note, one which I won’t spoil for you. The big question remained as the closing credits rolled, how would the series continue?
I’m just thankful that another series was made, period. The two stars, Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, have become busy actors with in-demand schedules. It’s taken the production team a while to get this third series made, but I couldn’t be happier that it’s actually happening.
Check out the teaser trailer – which doesn’t reveal anything crucial about the new season – below. Series three will air in the UK on October 31st and will likely get a States-side air date soon.
