There’s an old adage: If you want something done, you’d better do it yourself. Such a mantra is the backbone to Hugh Jackman’s character in Denis Villeneuve’s Prisoners. When you lose faith in the police as your missing children are at stake, what do you do?
Coincidentally, Jackman was instrumental in helping this film get made. After years of development hell, he returned to the project (having dropped out when Antoine Fuqua left the project in 2002) and steered it in the right direction. And by right direction, I mean #1 at the box office with $21 million over the weekend.
Check out this featurette from Warner Bros., which discloses some details about the relationships between the main characters.
