Marvel has released a new behind-the-scenes featurette for Alan Taylor’s Thor sequel Thor: The Dark World. The featurette is filled with new footage amidst cast and crew interviews. Marvel looks to continue its amazing streak with the its Avengers characters, the previous two films (The Avengers, Iron Man 3) have combined to gross over 2.7 billion dollars worldwide. I don’t expect Thor 2 to do that kind of business and but everything looks good so far.
In the featurette Taylor discusses the sequel exploring more of the Nine Realms as Thor brings Jane Foster to Asgard and beyond. That should be fun, but i’m much more intrigued at the idea of Thor and Loki working side-by-side.
The cast includes Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano, Jaimie Alexander, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins.
Marvels “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvels “Thor” and “Marvels The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.
