I’m excited for Showtime‘s new original series, Ray Donovan. Liev Schreiber plays the title character, a professional “fixer” for the rich, famous, down and out in Los Angeles. The story follows the exploits of his “workplace”, his professional success, and his inability to control a tumultuous family life.
“Ray Donovan allows the rich and famous to do… whatever they want”
Schreiber, as an actor, is someone you can always count on to get the job done right, much like this Donovan character. Joining him on this show, created by Ann Biderman, are Jon Voight, Frank Whaley, Elliott Gould, Devon Bagby, Paula Malcomson, Eddie Marsan and Octavius J. Johnson. Find out more about the show by visiting its official site.
The show debuts on Showtime June 30, coinciding with the premiere of Dexter’s final season. Check out the behind-the-scenes featurette that will help you get acquainted with the story and characters.
Set in the sprawling mecca of the rich and famous, RAY DONOVAN does the dirty work for LA’s top power players. The new one-hour series stars Emmy® and Golden Globe® Award nominee Liev Schreiber in his first lead television role as the go-to guy who makes the problems of the city’s celebrities, superstar athletes, and business moguls disappear. This powerful drama unfolds when his father, played by Oscar® winner Jon Voight, is unexpectedly released from prison, setting off a chain of events that shakes the Donovan family to its core.
