Latest Trailer For The Pixar Prequel ‘Monsters University’

Disney has released a new trailer for director Dan Scanlon’s upcoming prequel Monsters University.  This trailer expands on the film’s plot that has been generally looked at as ‘monsters doing college activities.‘  The trailer points out that Mike and Sulley need to win a ‘super-intense scaring competition’ or be kicked out of school.

The early reactions to the film have been positive, with many critics pointing to the film’s heart.  It looks like Pixar drew inspiration from classic college comedies like Old School, Revenge of the Nerds and Animal House.

The film features the voice talents of Billy Crystal, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, Dave Foley, Julia Sweeney, Joel Murray, Peter Sohn, Helen Mirren, John Krasinski, Nathan Fillion, Bonnie Hunt, Aubrey Plaza, Bobby Moynihan, John Ratzenberger and Alfred Molina.

Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn’t always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn’t stand each other. “Monsters University” unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends. Screaming with laughter and fun, “Monsters University” is directed by Dan Scanlon (“Cars,” “Mater and the Ghostlight,” “Tracy”) and produced by Kori Rae (“Up,” “The Incredibles,” “Monsters, Inc.”).
