If you haven’t been following the latest headlines from late night television lately, you may not have heard that Leno is looking to pass the torch of The Tonight Show (again) to someone else. The top candidate? Jimmy Fallon.
In what seems like a weird repetition of history that’s only four years old, there are rumours buzzing that Fallon is being groomed to take Leno’s job. Seth Meyers, of Saturday Night Live, is said to be the next-best candidate to take over Fallon’s current spot, a job once held and innovated by Conan O’Brien.
This lip-synched tune from West Side Story may seem a little forced. That’s because it is. I bet you NBC is trying to give the illusion that the “late night wars” are over.
