George Clooney must be riding high off his recent record-setting Oscar win, which gave him the distinction of having the most varied nominations and wins across all categories at the Academy Awards. However, not the type to let things phase him, Clooney is hard at work at his latest feature The Monuments Men, which he is directing, producing, acting in and has also co-written.
Based on the book, “The Monuments Men: Allied Heroes, Nazi Thieves and the Greatest Treasure Hunt in History” by Robert M. Edsel, the story focuses on a group of Allied soldiers tasked with saving many pieces of priceless artifacts before their destruction ordered by Hitler himself.
The film is co-produced by Columbia Pictures and Twentieth Century Fox. It stars Cate Blanchett, Daniel Craig, Matt Damon, John Goodman, Bill Murray, Hugh Bonneville, Jean Dujardin, and Bob Balaban.
