Their philosophy, if they’d been that self-aware at the time, would have been: “If you want something done, you’ve got to do it yourself”. With the help of the burgeoning and über-cool FX Network, Rob McElhenny, Charlie Day and Glen Howerton were allowed to expand their concept of four guys with big egos and big ideas trying endlessly to be the smarter guy.
