Five Character Posters And Two Clips from Ridley Scott’s The Counselor

The Counselor, a new hard-boiled thriller from the minds of Cormac McCarthy and Ridley Scott, is fast approaching.  To help pique our interest, 20th Century Fox has released two new clips and some character posters for the film.

In the first clip, stars Michael Fassbender and Javier Bardem discuss a drug deal gone bad, which kickstarts the film’s primary story.  In the second, the beautiful Cameron Diaz easily seduces drug dealer Reiner, played by Javier Bardem.

In The Counselor, Fassbender gets embroiled in the drug trade and ends up fighting for his life. Brad Pitt plays Westray, a man who helps Fassbender’s lawyer get hold of a $20 million stash of cocaine.  The film also stars Penelope Cruz (a love interest for Fassbender), Dean Norris (Haaaank!), Rosie Perez, John Leguizamo, Natalie Dormer and Goran Visnjic.  It opens in theatres on October 25th.

Legendary filmmaker Ridley Scott and Pulitzer Prize winning author Cormac McCarthy (No Country for Old Men) have joined forces in the motion picture thriller THE COUNSELOR, starring Michael Fassbender, Penélope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Javier Bardem, and Brad Pitt. McCarthy, making his screenwriting debut and Scott interweave the author’s characteristic wit and dark humor with a nightmarish scenario, in which a respected lawyer’s one-time dalliance with an illegal business deal spirals out of control.
