First Trailer & Poster For Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla Starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Bryan Cranston

Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for director Gareth Edwards’ rebirth of the legendary kaiju franchise Godzilla.  The film centers around the iconic title character and pits him against malevolent monsters, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance that threaten our worlds existence.  Very interesting trailer, there isn’t really a clear money shot of Godzilla more time is spent introducing the human cast that includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn, Sally Hawkins and Bryan Cranston.

There are some great-looking action sequences, in-particularly the trailers opening halo jump and the red smoke clouds following the paratroopers down on what appears to be a near suicide mission.  I like the idea of making Godzilla a character within the story and not making it a Godzilla film with a supporting cast.

I’m convinced, I don’t think I need to see anymore footage they have my money.

An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.

    • The Halo jump gave me goosebumps and it looks like you’ll actually be able to see the action, unlike Pacific Rim where the colour pallet was too dark to see any of the effects
