First Trailer for The LEGO Movie Featuring The Voices of Morgan Freeman, Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell & More

Personally, LEGOs hold a special place in my heart, as they were used tirelessly through my childhood – a countless number of spaceships, fortresses, and cities built from my imagination. And you know what? They never broke.  That’s bang for your buck.  So, needless to say, the thought of a stop-motion animated feature film is an exciting thought.

The film features the voice talents of Morgan Freeman, Elizabeth Banks, Chris Pratt, Nick Offerman, Alison Brie, Will Ferrell, Liam Neeson and Will Arnett (who’s brilliantly cast as Batman).  The film is co-written and directed by 21 Jump Street helmers Phil Lord, Chris Miller and Chris McKay of Robot Chicken fame.  The story was conceived by Dan & Kevin Hageman (Hotel Transylvania).

The first trailer for the film exhibits a real tongue-in-cheek tone to the film’s comedic sensibilities.  While this film may really appeal to younger audiences, there may be something here for the whole family to enjoy.

The LEGO Movie arrives in theatres on February 7, 2014.
