First [Red-Band] Trailer for Spike Lee’s Oldboy, Starring Josh Brolin & Elisabeth Olsen

It’s finally here – our first look at Spike Lee’s remake of Park Chan-wook’s Oldboy.  Instead of rambling about the film and how interested we are in seeing the differences between the two versions, let’s just get on with it, shall we?

Oldboy opens in theatres October 25th.  It stars Elisabeth Olsen, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Imperioli, Sharlto Copley, and Lance Reddick.  Directed by Spike Lee, Mark Protosevich wrote the new screenplay.

OLDBOY is a provocative, visceral thriller that follows the story of an advertising executive (Josh Brolin) who is abruptly kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment.
