Phase 4 Films has released the first trailer for writer/director Megan Griffiths upcoming human trafficking drama Eden. The film is inspired by a true story and stars Jamie Chung as Eden, a young Korean-American girl, captured and forced into a prostitution ring for two years. The plot seems to involve Eden inspiring the other girls, well insuring her own survival by any means necessary.
Eden premiered at the 2012 SXSW festival to positive reviews and won two awards; an audience award for best narrative film and emerging woman award for Griffiths. It may not be a easy movie to watch, but it looks like a good one
The cast also includes Matt O’Leary, Beau Bridges and Scott Mechlowicz.
