First Images Of Megan Fox As April O’Neil In ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’

Cameras have started rolling on director Jonathan Liebesman’s upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot.  This long-suffering Michael Bay production has been assaulted by bad buzz with rumors of alien turtles, production delays and the casting of Megan Fox as April O’Neil.

Now filming in New York City, Fox can be seen in these shots working as a reporter for Channel 6, the same network that employed O’Neil in the 90’s cartoon and comics. In this scene, she’s filming a segment for some exercise apparel on a mini-trampoline.

Fox was never on my radar for this role. I was hoping for Amy Adams, Emma Stone, Gemma Arterton or Emma Watson, all of whom I think would be better options.  Not that I’m a Megan Fox hater, but I don’t think her agent did her any favors letting her play this role.

So much of movies is pre-production buzz; if you cast Emma Watson as April, and Ken Wantanabe or Chow Yun-Fat as Shredder, everyone gets excited for this remake.
