With Ron Burgundy’s return to theaters only a few months away, Dodge decided to recruit Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell) as the pitchman for the new Durango. The tricky thing is the commercials do a better job of selling Ron Burgundy and Anchorman 2 than the vehicle.
Apparently, they shot 70 of these ads. Which seems excessive, but you gotta make the sponsors happy. Ferrell and director Adam MacKay spent many years getting Anchorman 2 off the ground and if this is part of the package to get the Channel 4 News team reunited in theaters, I’m fine with it.
