Here are two new clips from the remake / re-adaptation of Stephen King’s famed horror tale, Carrie. There’s lots to see here, from Julianne Moore nailing it as the bat-shit crazy mother, to Chloë Grace Moretz and her co-stars.
One particularly cool piece I think you’ll like is the really unique viral marketing concept: Bringing Carrie and telekinesis right to the general public. Not that this film needs the extra push – everyone loves a good horror movie and generally, internet-lurking movie fans seem very open to the concept. However, this needs to be shared. Here’s the official preface for the video:
What if telekinesis was real? How would you react? Our hidden camera experiment captures the reactions of unsuspecting customers at a New York City coffee shop as they witness a telekinetic event.
Carrie is directed by Kimberly Peirce and also stars Judy Greer, Gabriella Wilde, Portia Doubleday, Zoë Belkin, and Barry Shabaka Henley. It hits theatres on October 18th.
A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White, a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother, who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.
