Summit Entertainment has released six new clips for director Dean Parisot’s Red 2. The action-comedy sequel reunites retired black-ops agent Frank Moses (Bruce Willis) and his team of operatives to track down a missing portable nuclear device.
Looks like a fun summer movie; I didn’t need a sequel to Red but Summit seems to have a different opinion on the matter.
The clips focus on the witty interplay between the cast. Hopefully, there will be a fun, twisty plot and the cast shines. It is interesting that in the middle of the summer box office a film targeted at an adult (older) audience is getting a such a wide release.
There aren’t many other movies getting a wide summer release that aren’t in part aimed at a younger audience, but there is nothing young about this film. I’m more interested in how this film does versus actually seeing it.
The cast includes John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker, Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Byung Hun Lee, Brian Cox and Neal McDonough.
In RED 2, the high-octane action-comedy sequel to the worldwide sleeper hit, retired black-ops CIA agent Frank Moses reunites his unlikely team of elite operatives for a global quest to track down a missing portable nuclear device. To succeed, they’ll need to survive an army of relentless assassins, ruthless terrorists and power-crazed government officials, all eager to get their hands on the next-generation weapon. The mission takes Frank and his motley crew to Paris, London and Moscow. Outgunned and outmanned, they have only their cunning wits, their old-school skills, and each other to rely on as they try to save the world—and stay alive in the process.
